We are performing a search for a controller for a well established non-profit in Washington DC. This is a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and in-house experience (non-profit). Sage Intacct experience a big plus. Key Responsibilities:
- Managing Financial Operations: Overseeing all aspects of accounting including general ledger, payroll and tax compliance, and routine forecasting and budget monitoring.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensuring compliance with accounting standards (GAAP) and internal controls to protect company assets.
- Team Leadership: Managing a team of accountants or other financial staff.
- Strategic Financial Planning: Providing financial advice to senior management and contributing to strategic business planning.
- Auditing: Leading or overseeing financial and compliance audits.
Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
