What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ice Cream Scooper / Cashier position at Cherries Ice Cream?
Help make someone’s day a little sweeter. Cherries is a locally owned ice cream and roadside food stand on Route 209 in Stone Ridge. We’re looking for friendly, dependable people to join our front counter team and help make every visit feel welcoming—from remembering a regular’s favorite scoop to helping someone discover a new one. You’ll take orders, scoop ice cream, make milkshakes and other treats, and keep the counter looking its best. It’s hands-on work in a busy setting, with a team that pitches in and supports each other.
What you’ll do:
- Welcome customers, answer questions, and help them find their next favorite.
- Take orders and handle cash and card payments accurately.
- Prepare ice cream, milkshakes, and other specialties with care.
- Answer the phone and help with customer inquiries.
- Keep the counter and retail displays clean, stocked, and inviting.
- Help with opening and closing tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and cleanup.
- Support your teammates wherever an extra hand is needed.
