What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revenue Audit Associate I position at Cherokee Nation Entertainment?
This is a detail-oriented position focused on ensuring the accuracy of financial records. The ideal candidate is adept at reviewing paperwork, managing data entry into spreadsheets and accounting software, and researching discrepancies. The role is performed in a climate-controlled office setting.
- Retrieve and organize all necessary paperwork for auditing.
- Conduct audits on cashier paperwork and ensure all documents are properly submitted.
- Verify that cashiers have followed all policies and procedures, including obtaining required signatures.
- Input cashier reports and journal entries into balancing spreadsheets and accounting software.
- Prepare scorecards to document cashier audit exceptions.
- Research and resolve any discrepancies, including over/short discrepancies identified at the bank.
- Manage player points/comps by expensing them to the appropriate issuing department.
- High School Diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience as a cashier or bookkeeper is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
