On Call Event Staff

Job Description

As an On-Call Banquet Server, you will be responsible for serving food and drinks in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner during banquets and special events. You’ll work with a variety of guests and ensure that all service is timely, organized, and meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This is a part-time, flexible position that requires the ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on event needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and serve food and beverages in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Adhere to all alcohol safety standards, including verifying guest identification to ensure legal drinking age.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all areas of responsibility, including dining areas.
• Perform pre-bussing tasks during dining to maintain order and cleanliness.
• Process guest payments accurately, handling financial transactions with care.
• Take on additional duties as needed to ensure smooth banquet operations.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 1 years of banquet serving experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler’s card.
• Ability to acquire and maintain a state-issued alcoholic beverage license.
• Ability to pass alcohol awareness training.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
