Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Billing Specialist I: $44,000 - $86,000
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Billing Specialist I Responsibilities Include:
• Developing and submitting billings to meet customer submission due dates.
• Ensuring billing compliance with the contract and providing all necessary supporting documentation for payment approval.
• Monitoring time charging and expenses in CostPoint projects to understand billing costs.
• Coordinating with the contracts department and program managers for contract-specific information related to customer billings.
• Monitoring payment status through invoice acceptance by the customer.
• Inputting invoices into WAWF or other electronic systems as required.
• Handling open accounts receivable reporting and collection, collaborating with analysts on unbilled balances.
• Ensuring compliance with Cherokee Nation Businesses (CNB) policies and procedures.
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
Billing Specialist I Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
• Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field of study and 2 years of accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Accounting background preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of Deltek systems.
• Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, organization, and attention to detail skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work in a team environment to accomplish the goals of the team and organization.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
