Housekeeper/Room Attendant

Clean hotel rooms

• Wears appropriate uniform and name tag
• Thoroughly cleans all guest rooms and areas assigned
• Responsible for proper usage of all supplies and equipment
• Communicates with Housekeeping Department regarding clean and available rooms
• Reports any damage, missing items or maintenance needs in all assigned rooms
• Stocks cart with appropriate linen and supplies in a neat and organized condition
• Responsible for all keys issued and follows all key control policies
• Turns in all lost and found items as according to company policy
• Reports any unusual/suspicious activity immediately
• Ensures that cart is pulled in next to room in front of door
• Does not give out guest room numbers or let guests into rooms
• Utilizes conservation measures such as use of thermostats and lights
• Promotes positive guest and employee relations
• Maintains stockrooms and breakrooms in a neat, clean and organized condition
• Acknowledges guest with a pleasant smile and appropriate greeting
• Prepares necessary work orders for maintenance
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Performs any other duty as assigned by management

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

• Lifting required
• Wears closed toe rubber sole shoes
• Requires frequent bending, stooping, reaching, lifting and wiping
• Stands and walks during majority of shift
• Handles chemical cleaners
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Reliability and honesty essential
• Hotel experience preferred
