Duties
- Assist with patient intake, including collecting vital signs, medical histories, and updating electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems).
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for provider use.
- Perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and assisting with procedure.
- Assist with patient documentation, including medical records, and detailed notes on patient encounters.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical support role within outpatient or hospital environments. (Preferred)
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications in phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus.
- Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures, inpatient/outpatient care settings, and specialty areas such as geriatrics or internal medicine is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills for managing medical documentation, records management, and clinic workflows.
