What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secretary to the Chief Financial Officer position at Cherokee County School District?
Department: Finance
Reports To: Executive Director of Finance
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalency
2. Computer/typing/data entry skills required
3. Operate office equipment
4. Good communication skills
5. Ability to work well in a team environment
7. Ability to handle stressful situations
8. Must pass criminal background check
9. Must pass tuberculosis screening prior to start date
Essential Functions:
- Performs the usual office routines and practices associated with an office.
- Maintain records as necessary for the Executive Director of Finance and the Procurement Officer
- Receives and routes all incoming telephone calls for the Executive Director of Finance
- Process reimbursements and mileage claims for approval by the Executive Director of Finance
- Orders and maintains the office and computer supplies for finance, purchasing, and payroll departments
- Welcomes visitors and arranges for their comfort and screen unexpected callers with the per-determined division procedure
- Schedules meeting and arranges for conference registrations, maintaining calendar for the Executive Director of Finance
- Maintains records and handles claims for student and visitors injuries
- Maintains files for students insurance carriers as well as property and vehicle insurance
- Serves as back up to financial assistant for payroll
- Processes returned checks for payment and submits to solicitor's office
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned
