Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Education with proper Certification as required by the Professional Standards Commission. Minimum of three years teaching experience required. Skills in communication, leadership, collaboration and organization; strong background in standards- based curriculum. Preferred experience teaching across various grade levels and content areas. Preferred experience in the design and implementation of professional learning focused directly on increasing student achievement.

GOAL

Support teachers in improving instruction and student achievement for at-risk students by developing and implementing effective teaching strategies.

Representative Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with school staff to analyze student achievement data (state, district, and school) to guide instructional planning and improve teaching and learning.
  • Ensure effective instructional support, aligning with educational standards and using targeted strategies for at-risk students.
  • Provide support to teachers in implementing the standards-defined rigor through observations, modeling best practices, goal setting and debriefs.
  • Work with the principal and school leadership team for the purpose of developing and implementing professional learning and coaching tools that address the needs of at-risk students.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the School Improvement Plan and Title I Plan, including monitoring and evaluating the Title I goals and action steps and adjusting as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Compile, maintain and submit all required documentation and state/local reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Work cooperatively with school staff and District personnel to provide strategies for learner support.
  • Demonstrate commitment to professional growth by engaging in ongoing professional learning that supports Title I initiatives and staying current with evidence-based strategies, including schoolwide reform strategies, literature, and technical information.
  • Support the alignment of resources in instruction and professional learning to support school goals.
  • Exhibit a commitment to professional ethics and the School District’s mission.

  • Possess and maintain valid and appropriate license, certificate and/or credential as may be required for this position.
  • Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular, predictable and punctual manner.
  • Implement budget expenditures, in collaboration with principal, to ensure effective and compliant utilization of funds.
  • Ensure adherence to good safety procedures.
  • Comply with federal and state law, school board policies, and all applicable Federal/State/District Title I Guidance.
  • Perform other instructionally-related duties as assigned and allowable pursuant to applicable grant funding requirements.
