WORK DESCRIPTION:
Greets customers, patients, clients, or general public; provides or gathers information; provides services or refers to appropriate person or activity; collects fees or other charges and processes in accordance with procedures.
Answers phones and routes calls, answers questions, and takes messages.
Prepares forms, letters, booklets, brochures, reports, and other forms or records and correspondence as required.
Performs account research and asset research as needed.
Completes forms and applications for assistance.
Gathers information for entry into computer system; extracts information or reports as necessary.
Processes billing information; audit and monitors billing accounts; resolves problems with billing.
Maintains files; extracts and summarizes information; provides information to internal or external agencies as required; coordinates with other staff, departments, or outside agencies.
Maintains schedules and calendars for staff; makes travel arrangements; schedules and/or attends training seminars or classes.
Performs research and conducts special projects as directed.
Processes incoming and outgoing mail; routes to appropriate person or office.
Monitors office supply levels and requests orders of replenishment supplies as needed.
Performs related duties as required.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Requires high school graduation, GED, or specialized vocational training, with one-year experience in administrative or clerical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Notary Public, state driver’s license and other certifications may be required in some departments.
