Job Summary
The Pastor serves as a spiritual leader and guide for the congregation, providing support, teaching, and pastoral care. This role involves preaching, counseling, and mentoring members of the community while fostering a welcoming and nurturing environment. The Pastor is responsible for leading worship services, facilitating church activities, and engaging with the community to promote spiritual growth and development.

Duties

• Deliver engaging sermons and teachings that inspire and educate the congregation.
• Provide bereavement support to individuals and families during times of loss.
• Offer Christian counseling to members seeking guidance in their spiritual journey.
• Mentor individuals within the church community, fostering personal growth and development.
• Actively participate in church activities and events to strengthen community ties.
• Communicate effectively with congregation members through various channels, including public speaking and written communication.
• Manage conflicts within the congregation with compassion and understanding.
• Lead crisis intervention efforts when necessary, providing support to those in need.
• Collaborate with church leadership to develop programs that meet the spiritual needs of the community.

Requirements

• Strong public speaking skills with the ability to communicate effectively in various settings.
• Experience in Christian counseling or related fields is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities within a faith-based context.
• Ability to manage conflict with sensitivity and grace.
• Proficiency in writing for sermons, newsletters, and other church communications.
• Commitment to being present for congregation members during significant life events.
• Experience in bereavement support or crisis intervention is a plus.
• A deep understanding of Christian teachings and a commitment to living out those principles.
