Special Education Paraprofessionals

Chequamegon School District is a vibrant, small-town educational institution located in the heart of the Northwoods of Wisconsin. The district is composed of Park Falls Elementary School, Glidden Elementary School, Chequamegon Middle School, and Chequamegon High School, divided between campuses in Park Falls and Glidden, Wisconsin.

The district also possesses over 650 acres of forested properties spread out between Price and Ashland Counties, the crown jewel of which being the Tracy Lake Outdoor Classroom which is 10 miles west of east of Park Falls. Amenities at Tracy Lake include indoor and outdoor classroom facilities surrounded by 320 acres of pristine wilderness, and of course Tracy Lake, a picturesque 14-acre natural lake.

Chequamegon School District has two anticipated openings for Special Education Paraprofessionals.

• One opening at Park Falls Elementary School
• One opening at Chequamegon North Campus

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing instructional follow-up and assistance to children
• Providing physical management assistance
• Assisting children with special needs in mainstream regular education classes, playground, and cafeteria
• Assisting with activities of daily living (feeding, toileting, time management, organization)
• Providing outside and inside supervision duties
• Assuming additional responsibilities as they are directed by the special education teacher, building principal, or Director of Pupil Services

Requirements include having a high school diploma, have or be eligible for DPI Special Education Program Aide License, and proficient technology skills with the ability to learn new software, applications, and devices.

Wage and Hours
$18.05/hour based on experience; 7.25 hours/day following the school calendar
