Duties
- Operate meat processing machines safely and efficiently to slice, trim, and prepare various types of meat products including beef, pork, poultry, and fish.
- Use proper knife skills and slicing techniques to ensure uniform cuts and optimal presentation.
- Package meat products accurately using appropriate food handling and packaging procedures to maintain freshness and prevent contamination.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards in all areas of food preparation and handling.
- Conduct visual inspections for quality control, checking for freshness, proper trimming, and signs of spoilage or contamination.
- Manage perishable goods by monitoring expiration dates, storing items correctly, and rotating stock according to food safety management guidelines.
- Assist customers with their inquiries regarding meat products, offering friendly service and culinary advice when needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food production or retail store environments is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of meat processing machine operation and basic knife skills.
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and handling perishable goods responsibly.
- Experience with food preparation techniques such as trimming, slicing, and meat cutting is preferred.
