About the Role
The Nurse Practitioner will report to the Regional Chief Clinical Officer and will be responsible for the following:
* Providing direct patient care to patients in our medical centers and through virtual visits
* Training new physicians in the use of our technology and electronic medical records system
* Participating in clinical rounds and conferences to discuss patient care plans and identify areas for improvement
* Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to identify and implement new practice patterns that improve patient care outcomes
Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for the following responsibilities:
* Assessing and managing acute and non-acute clinical problems
* Performing physical assessments and patient histories, analyzing trends in patient conditions, and developing, documenting, and implementing a patient management plan
* Communicating with patients virtually or in a clinic
* Ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic studies
* Ordering appropriate medication and treatments
* Referring patients for consultation when indicated
* Documenting progress notes and summaries
* Participating in patient care rounds and conferences
Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and qualifications:
* Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice
* A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
