The Electronic Technician II installs, troubleshoots, and maintains electronic security systems, including access control, intrusion detection, and networked security components. What You’ll Do
- Install and service electronic security systems (access control, intrusion detection).
- Read and work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Install conduit, cabling, equipment racks, and system hardware.
- Configure systems, support network integration, and perform testing.
- Document work performed and maintain tools and equipment.
- Provide on-site technical support and customer training.
- Follow all safety and quality standards.
- Travel to project sites as required.
- Other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need
- 2-4 years of experience with electronic security systems or related work.
- Experience with low-voltage wiring, IP networks, and alarm systems.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
- Lenel certification.
- Manufacturer certifications (Lenel, Software House, AMAG, Verkada, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, Axis, Hanwha, DMP).
- Proficient with personal computers, office equipment, basic hand and power tools (e.g., wire cutters, drills, screwdrivers), and testing devices such as multimeters.
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook required
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee may use repeated motions that include the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
- Employees may be required to work at heights using work platforms (lifts) or ladders.
