Construction Surveillance Technician

Overview

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) to support secure construction projects requiring compliance with ICD 705 standards. This role is critical to protecting sensitive environments during construction by ensuring all activities, personnel, and materials meet strict security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Construction ActivitiesObserve daily work performed by uncleared personnel to ensure full compliance with ICD 705 and established security protocols.
• Identify Security VulnerabilitiesDetect and prevent risks associated with clandestine surveillance, including unauthorized devices, materials, or structural modifications.
• Inspect Incoming MaterialsVerify that all materials entering the secure construction zone are approved, untampered, and free of prohibited items.
• Enforce Access Control MeasuresMaintain strict control of site access, ensuring only authorized personnel enter secure areas and that uncleared workers are continuously monitored.
• Review Construction DocumentsAnalyze drawings and blueprints to identify potential concealment risks or design vulnerabilities that may impact security.
• Operate Detection and Monitoring EquipmentUtilize tools such as metal detectors, X-ray systems, and CCTV to identify prohibited items and monitor site activity.
• Maintain Accurate DocumentationRecord daily activities, maintain logs, and prepare detailed reports on findings, anomalies, and security concerns.
• Facilitate Secure OperationsServe as a liaison between cleared and uncleared personnel, enabling construction progress while protecting classified environments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in security operations, surveillance, or construction security.
• Active TS/SCI
• Familiarity with ICD 705 or secure facility (SCIF) construction requirements highly desirable
• Strong attention to detail and observational skills
• Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in controlled and sensitive environments
