The Public Health Analyst III will review, analyze and evaluate medication-related data from various sources.

Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze healthcare data to inform development and evaluation of prevention interventions that reduce medication-related harm in hospitalized patients.
- Data sources include Cloud-based platforms, like databricks.
- Utilize data management tools (python, PySpark) to facilitate analytic/evaluation work.
- Review healthcare records and medication use processes to identify errors and other adverse drug events in hospitalized patients.
- Serve as SME, communications resource and problem-solver related to data collection and interpretation for the medication safety program.
- Generate monthly and annual quality assessment evaluations related to data collection and communicates findings to MPSB team and surveillance system partners to improve data quality.
- Maintain the medication-related surveillance data collections and code; provide information, and assistance to other staff regarding effective display of information.
- Other duties as assigned
- Four (4) to Six (6) or more years of relevant, direct comparable or similar work experience.
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience to substitute.
- Professional working knowledge within SharePoint.
- Professional interpersonal and computer skills, to include but not limited to, skills in operating Microsoft Office software, with emphasis on Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook as well as SharePoint.
- Skills in managing and prioritizing multiple assignments with strict deadlines and ability to coordinate efforts among many offices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
- Expertise to prepare and present information/data via oral briefing(s) and/or by written reports.
