Apple Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Apple hardware and software, including servers, Macs, iPads, and MacBooks.
• Manage the deployment and configuration of Apple devices using tools such as Apple Configurator, Jamf Pro, or similar MDM solutions.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure the security and stability of Apple systems.
• Monitor system performance and address any issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users for Apple devices and software applications.
• Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement strategies for improving system reliability and performance.
• Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Assist in the integration of Apple devices with existing infrastructure and services.
• Ensure data security and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects related to Apple technologies.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience administering and maintaining Apple hardware and software, including but not limited to, Apple servers, Macs, iPads, and MacBooks
• Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) Certification
• Strong knowledge of macOS, iOS, and associated Apple hardware.
• Experience with Apple server administration and configuration.
• Proficiency in using MDM solutions such as Jamf Pro, Apple Configurator, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of network protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Apple Certified Support Professional, Apple Certified Technical Coordinator) are a plus.
  
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Parallels).
• Familiarity with enterprise-level backup and recovery solutions.
• Experience with integration of Apple devices into Windows or mixed-OS environments.
