- Position durations: 13 weeks - often with the opportunity to extend
- Full Time, 40 hours a week
- Schedule: Varies depending on location. May include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Per Diem for travel, housing, meals, and incidentals.
- Multiple levels available! Lab Techs II, III, IV, and Clinical Laboratory Scientists
Responsibilities
- Process and analyze clinical laboratory specimens using various diagnostic laboratory equipment such as analyzers, microscopes, and centrifuges.
- Prepare patients and collect blood specimens utilizing venipuncture or capillary methods.
- Prepare patients for collection of other specimen types such as urine and stool.
- Review, verify and report patient results.
- Must be proficient in major areas of the clinical laboratory, such as clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, serology, urinalysis, and molecular testing.
- Perform, update and/or review Quality Control, Calibrations, and Maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Specific requirements will vary depending on the role, but the minimum requirements are:
- Completion of a medical laboratory technician (MLT) program or equivalent training. Certification as MLT (ASCP or AMT) preferred. Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS).
- 1–2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory environment
- Certifications and/or additional experience may be required for more senior positions.
