Overview
Chenega/NASA is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team at Wallops Island, VA. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of personnel, equipment, and vehicles to ensure efficient and effective operations. This role is critical in supporting NASA's mission and ensuring the smooth execution of daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Use CAD system to chronologically track and record all events.
- Monitor and track the status of dispatched resources.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
- Respond to emergency situations and adjust dispatch plans accordingly.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 911 dispatching experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to maintain a DoD Secret clearance (though clearance not required to start)
- Proficiency in using dispatch software and other relevant technology.
