Job Overview

Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Support medication administration and monitor vital signs to ensure health and safety
- Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to promote mental well-being
- Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers
- Maintain accurate documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and report any changes in condition promptly
- Follow safe patient lifting practices and adhere to infection control protocols during all caregiving tasks
- Assist with meal preparation, light cleaning, and maintaining a clean, safe environment in accordance with health standards
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and behavioral management techniques
- Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities is advantageous
- Familiarity with home & community care practices and long-term care environments is desirable
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in medication administration or EMR systems is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks effectively throughout shifts
- Proven ability to communicate clearly with clients, families, and team members while demonstrating empathy and professionalism
