EARLY INTERVIENTION SERVICES COORDINATOR - Chenango County's Department of Public Health has an opening for a Early Intervention Services Coordinator. This is a position in the Children with Special Needs Unit of the Chenango County Public Health Department. An employee in this class is responsible for coordinating the delivery of early intervention services. The incumbent ensures that infants and toddlers ages zero to three with developmental delays or disabilities and their families receive services commensurate with their needs, to the extent such services are available. The Early Intervention Services Coordinator provides case management services and develops Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP) as outlined in law. Travel is required to fulfill the duties of this position. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Children’s Services with considerable leeway allowed for the exercise of independent judgment in carrying out the details of the work. Supervision over the work of others is not a responsibility of an employee in this class. Does related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EITHER: A. Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a human services field AND one year of full-time paid experience or its’ part-time equivalent in case management or in providing health or human services to individuals or families; OR B. Possession of an Associate’s Degree in a human services field AND three years of full-time paid experience or its’ part-time equivalent in case management or in providing health or human services to individuals or families. SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: At time of appointment and continuing throughout appointment a candidate/incumbent must possess a valid New York State Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the County’s insurance carrier.
