Paralegal

Position Title: Paralegal

Location: Flushing, NY 11354

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:30am - 5:30pm

Real Estate/Capital Markets law firm in Flushing seeking a Paralegal for our real estate and banking/secured financing departments. The candidate will collect and organize due diligence documents, prepare closing disclosures and real estate closing documents, coordinate with our clients and/or institutional lending partners, and assist with closings. Our ideal candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages among various stakeholders, keep important documents organized, and learn on the job.

Only seeking candidates interested in being a career paralegal and not seeking those whose plan is to be with our firm as a transition prior to law school

Pay is based on experience, capability, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Review and draft routine legal documents
• Review and draft routine bank loan documents (including closing disclosures, funding statements, etc.)
• Create and maintain case files
• Facilitate the meeting of attorneys’ deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders
• Assist attorneys with legal research

Qualifications

• Must have verifiable paralegal experience
• Bachelors degree preferred
• Paralegal certificate preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word) and Adobe Acrobat (Required)
• Fluency in English (Required)
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, and/or Fujianese (Preferred)
