We are seeking a Plant Maintenance Manager who comes from a strong trades background (journeyman, pipefitting, millwright, plumbing, etc.) and is passionate about hands-on work. This role is ideal for someone who has built their career through practical experience in maintenance and repair and has grown into a leadership position.
This position will be 50% hands on and 50% leadership. You will be actively involved in performing repairs and guiding a small team, showing them how to complete tasks and ensuring high standards of work. Your supervisory experience will be key in coaching and training others, fostering a collaborative and skilled maintenance team.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Manager will lead a small team of maintenance staff. We will rely on you to manage the general maintenance of the facility and equipment. The successful candidate will be eager to be hands-on with preventative maintenance and repair of all types of specialized equipment in the plant. If you are a strong detail-oriented leader, skillful with prioritization and a team player mentality, we are eager to discuss this opportunity with you!

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $90,000 - $105,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.

- Asset management of ChemTreat equipment/buildings, cost control, and compliance documentation
- Perform and direct maintenance and repairs on specialized plant equipment, including preventive tasks
- Use the maintenance system to assign and track work
- Enforce safety policies including PPE use, tool handling, lockout/tagout, and housekeeping standards
- Escalate complex equipment malfunctions
- Manage a small in-house Maintenance staff and contractors/vendors for capital projects
- Participate in team meetings for planning, problem solving, and project work
- Participate in corrective and preventative action practices related to product quality, plant safety, environmental and DOT compliance
- High school diploma
- Previous Supervisor/Managerial experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- General construction experience
- Working knowledge of valves, pneumatics, boilers, RO systems, pumps, and plant operations
- Familiarity with automation systems including PLCs and related hardware
- Experience in inventory management, forklift operation, and computer data entry
- Working knowledge of basic mathematics, DOT regulations, and common tools
- Willingness to be on call for unexpected plant issues and work during shutdown hours as needed
- Heavy lifting and respirator clearance
- Trade certification/Journeyman card preferred
