Reporting to the Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Manager, The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer plays a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions that enable ChemTreat to make data-driven decisions. This position is responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and actionable insights to key stakeholders across the organization, empowering them to identify business trends, optimize performance, and drive strategic initiatives.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $95,000 - $110,000 USD per year.

Reporting to the Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Manager, The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer plays a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions that enable ChemTreat to make data-driven decisions. This position is responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and actionable insights to key stakeholders across the organization, empowering them to identify business trends, optimize performance, and drive strategic initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs
- Translating business requirements into technical specifications
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Power BI), inclusive of prototypes
- Create and optimize data models to support reporting and analytics
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across systems
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
- Work with relational and cloud-based databases (e.g., SQL Server, Snowflake, Azure)
- Monitor and improve BI solution performance
- Implement best practices for query optimization and data processing
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards
- Implement role-based access and permissions for BI tools
- Conduct unit and integration testing for BI solutions
- Maintain documentation for dashboards, data models, and processes
- Support Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes for data integration from multiple sources
- Stay updated on BI trends and emerging technologies
- Recommend enhancements to improve analytics capabilities
- Support self-service BI initiatives for business users
Knowledge & Skills
- Understand Data Warehousing concepts and best practices
- Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with Power Platform (e.g., Power BI, Power Automate, Power App), DAX and API-based connectors in BI tools
- Ability to transform data using Power Query (M language)
- Ability to write and troubleshoot complex queries, optimize performance, and work with relational databases (e.g., Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
- Understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., ERD)
- Experience with data extraction, transformation, and loading using tools like SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar
- API knowledge (e.g. RESTful APIs, JSON data retrieval, API call best practices)
- Understanding of cloud-based data solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS, Snowflake)
- Familiarity with languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and advanced analytics
- General understanding of AI/ML concepts (e.g., supervised vs. unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and generative AI fundamentals) and how they can support analytics and decision-making
- Experience with Power BI RBAC (static and dynamic RLS to restrict data visibility based on user roles) and Object level security (OLS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective business communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics or a related certification
- 2 years of Information Technology experience
- 2 years of experience in a Data Warehousing environment
- 2 years of Power BI experience
- 1 years of SSIS and Snowflake experience, preferred
- 1 years of experience with Python or R for data manipulation and advanced analytics, preferred
