Shift work may be required.Compensation: $59.24/hr – $63.00/hr (non-exempt)The posted range is the targeted pay band. From calibrating a flow transmitter to replacing a faulty motor starter, your focus is safety, reliability, and uptime. You’ll collaborate with operations and other crafts, plan material needs, and document every step so the next task is even smoother.What you’ll ownInstall, maintain, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems per manufacturer and site specifications using hand/power tools and precision test equipment.Inspect, troubleshoot, and service instruments, valves, disconnects, starters, motors, relays, and pneumatic/electronic devices to protect personnel and sustain production.Calibrate, service, and return to operation control instrumentation, including:Flow, level, and temperature transmittersOn-line process analyzersPerform routine maintenance on electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and DCS equipment using diagnostic tools, schematics, blueprints, vendor manuals, and SOPs.Remove and replace filters; lubricate motors, valves, and bearings to improve efficiency and equipment life.Fabricate and install conduit, fittings, and tubing; measure, cut, and solder as needed. Drill/tap metals and plastics; build brackets and hangers to secure assemblies.Install, examine, and repair wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, feeders, conduits, fiber optic and coaxial assemblies, and lighting.Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble equipment such as automatic valves, motors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.Troubleshoot and correct DCS issues and solid-state devices using proper test techniques and equipment.Lockout/Tagout/Try and test energy sources to create a safe work condition; maintain orderly work areas and remove obsolete wiring/equipment without affecting operations.Plan and coordinate work with other crafts; communicate via radio, phone, and email to keep jobs moving efficiently.Create, review, and improve job procedures and SOPs; champion area safety principles and mentor trainees on standard practices.What you bringHigh school diploma or GED.5 years of industrial instrumentation and electrical experience.Ability to read/interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, procedures, manufacturer literature, diagrams, and schematics.Clear written and verbal communication; basic computer proficiency.Physical demandsFrequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.Occasional stair/ladder climbing (including vertical) and lifting/moving up to 50 lbs; close vision may be required.Capable of spending extended periods in an office setting; must be fit for duty.Work environmentWork in tight/confined spaces and elevated areas.Outdoor exposure and noisy conditions.Areas with dust and occasional chemical odors.Medical requirementChemtrade is committed to the safety and health of its employees and the public.
