About the Job:
The Planner I is responsible for developing and processing job cards and coordinating with all assigned departments to ensure accurate part processing according to customers’ specifications and schedules. The planner provides the assigned department area(s) with a work schedule and works with production department leads, sales, and shipping/receiving. Verifies job pricing and counts are current, sets up repeat jobs, and communicates any count or price discrepancy with the clients.
Job Duties
- Sets up all part number jobs from the specifications that are already established in the system.
- Performs incoming inspections, including sizing of parts
- Verifies purchase order specifications and counts.
- Verifies order counts upon receiving.
- Enters and revises pricing information and notifies customer of any price discrepancies.
- Enters and revises pricing information as directed by supervisors.
- Prints out repeat jobs, which have no sizing or other changes.
- Review repeat jobs to ensure there are no changes or revisions to the part number or specification from the previous job and set them up for production.
- Review repeat pricing information for expiration.
- Perform receiving inspections as needed
- Communicates and resolves any issues on part counts with the client.
- Keeps a neat and orderly work area
- Follows all company safety and health procedures for the protection of self and other personnel.
- Is able to perform all inspection position duties and serves as back up when necessary.
- Performs other miscellaneous job duties and job functions as needed
Educational and Work Experience Requirements
- High School diploma or GED, or equivalent experience required.
- Interested in understanding electroplating processes in an aerospace environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a dynamic atmosphere
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Work requires basic computer and data entry skills.
- Work requires willingness to work various shifts and some extended hours, when required.
Essential Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to alternate standing and sitting for 8 hours.
- Ability to see or correct to 20/25 or Jaeger 1 at 12” Near.
- Ability to hear.
- Ability to distinguish color (pass a Pseudochromatic plates test).
- Ability to communicate in both verbal and written forms.
- Ability to stoop and bend.
- Ability to use arms and hands.
