Chemidox Clinical Trials is seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA), Medical Doctor (MD), or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) to join our growing team as a Clinical Research Sub-Investigator.

Chemidox is a fast-growing, multispecialty clinical research organization conducting Phase II-IV clinical trials across a variety of therapeutic areas, including women's health, OB-GYN, internal medicine, cardiology, dermatology, neurology, pediatrics, vaccines, and metabolic disease. Position Summary

This position is designed for clinicians who want to expand beyond traditional patient care, contribute to advancing medical research, and develop as clinical leaders within a growing organization.

Working under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, you will perform protocol-required clinical assessments, protect participant safety, collaborate with research coordinators, and help ensure studies are conducted in accordance with study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and applicable regulations.

Previous clinical research experience is preferred but not required. We provide structured onboarding, hands-on training, direct mentorship, and opportunities for long-term professional and leadership development.

Primary Responsibilities Leadership & Operations

  • Conduct protocol-required physical examinations and clinical assessments.
  • Review medical histories, medications, laboratory results, and study eligibility.
  • Evaluate, document, and manage adverse events and participant safety concerns.
  • Complete accurate clinical documentation and source records.
  • Maintain clear communication regarding progress, concerns, risks, and next steps.
  • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow them through to completion.
  • Collaborate with Principal Investigators, study coordinators, and sponsors to ensure protocol compliance.
  • Participate in investigator meetings, sponsor visits, monitoring visits, and study training.
  • Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to research coordinators and staff.
  • Help develop clinical competencies across the research team.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Follow study protocols, company SOPs, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Support initiatives that improve participant safety, data quality, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted California license as an NP, PA, MD, or DO.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Medical Doctor, or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program.
  • Current board certification, as applicable.
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
  • Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Comfortable using electronic medical records and computer-based systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous clinical research experience.
  • Good Clinical Practice (GCP) knowledge.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing clinical research teams.
  • Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, ICH-GCP, HIPAA, IRB requirements, and clinical research operations.
  • Proficiency with CRIO or comparable Clinical Trial Management Systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
