We are seeking a Systems Engineer / Instrumentation & Control Engineer with hands-on experience in configuring, integrating, and supporting PLC and DCS systems for chemical plant operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient control system performance. Experience with Honeywell Experion and ControlEdge platforms is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
· Configure, program, and integrate PLC and DCS systems for chemical plant applications
· Participate in control system design including architecture, I/O mapping, control logic, and HMI development
· Support system integration, testing, commissioning, and startup activities
· Troubleshoot and resolve control system, instrumentation, and communication issues
· Collaborate with process, electrical, and mechanical engineers during project execution
· Ensure compliance with process safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements
· Support system upgrades, migrations, and performance improvements
· Prepare and maintain technical documentation including control narratives, loop diagrams, and test reports
· Provide on-site or remote support for plant operations as required
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control Systems, or related engineering discipline
· Minimum 2 years of experience in PLC/DCS configuration and integration in chemical or process industries
· Hands-on experience with industrial control systems, field instruments, and control networks
· Strong understanding of process control concepts, instrumentation, and industrial protocols
· Ability to work in a plant environment and support commissioning activities
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Honeywell Experion and/or ControlEdge platforms
· Familiarity with chemical plant operations, batch or continuous processes
· Knowledge of SIS, alarm management, and industrial cybersecurity
· Exposure to FAT/SAT, loop checks, and startup support
