Position Summary
Chemical Warehouse is hiring a Customer Service & Inside Sales Specialist to support inbound customer communication, ecommerce product listings, product research, inventory processes, and daily sales operations. This is an entry-level-friendly role for someone who is phone-friendly, professional, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of learning technical products quickly.
The position will begin with a strong customer service and operations focus, with the potential to grow into a broader inside sales role as the employee develops product knowledge, pricing judgment, customer communication skills, and confidence working within Chemical Warehouse systems.
Key Responsibilities
· Answer inbound customer phone calls and respond to customer service emails in a professional, helpful, and timely manner.
· Support inbound customers by answering general questions, helping them locate product information, checking product availability, and escalating technical or compliance-sensitive questions when needed.
· Follow up on leads generated from sales reports, inbound customer inquiries, previous customer activity, and other internal sales opportunities.
· Prepare customer quotes, including product availability, pricing, and order details.
· Create, update, and maintain accurate e commerce product listings.
· Research and publish product-related product content for the website,emails, and social media.
· Support inbound inventory receiving by helping verify incoming product, quantities, product sizes, and related inventory information.
· Support day-to-day customer service and sales operations, including order questions, tracking inquiries, product availability checks, and internal coordination with warehouse or operations staff.
What This Role Is Not
· This is not a high-pressure cold-calling role. The primary focus is on supporting inbound customers and developing sales ability over time.
· This is not a technical agronomy, applicator, or regulatory advisory role. Product guidance must be based on label information and internal standards.
Qualifications
· Professional phone presence and strong written communication skills.
· Customer-service mindset emphasized in building customer relationships and to help solve problems with accurate information.
· Critical thinking and problem-solving ability; able to research, compare information, and make practical recommendations.
· Self-motivated and willing to take ownership of daily tasks without constant supervision.
· Fast learner with the ability to understand technical products, inventory systems, ecommerce listings, and internal workflows.
· Strong attention to detail, especially when working with product listings, pesticide labels, pricing, inventory data, and customer information.
· Comfortable using computer systems and able to learn these systems quickly.
· An interest in agronomy, crop protection chemicals, agricultural ecommerce, customer service, or sales experience is highly valued but not required.
First 90-Day Expectations
· Understand the company CRM and inventory systems well enough to complete daily assigned tasks accurately.
· Communicate with customers by phone and email in a professional, timely, and helpful manner.
· Create and maintain accurate product listings with minimal errors.
· Understand the basic inventory receiving process and how inventory information connects to customer service, pricing, and product availability.
· Begin learning top products, common customer questions, product-label research habits, and internal escalation standards.
· Show consistent judgment, reliability, and attention to detail before receiving broader responsibility for pricing and sales follow-up.
Compensation
Starting salary range: $60,000-$80,000, depending on experience, skill level, product knowledge, communication ability, and fit for the role.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is professional on the phone, organized, curious, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where customer service, ecommerce, inventory, and product knowledge overlap. This person does not need to enter the role as a pesticide expert, but they must be willing to read product labels carefully, ask good questions, follow internal processes, and learn quickly.
We are also looking for a sales representative with prior experience in Fruit and Vegetable cultivation and crop protection.
Growth Path
This role is designed to start in customer service and sales support, with the opportunity to grow into a stronger sales, account support, ecommerce operations, product content, or purchasing/pricing role as the employee gains experience.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
