Chemical Solvents Inc. (CSI) has thrived for over 50 years in the Cleveland area providing commodity chemicals and blending services to a wide variety of industries including, but not limited to, construction, manufacturing, and specialty chemicals. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Inventory Coordinator to join our team for 6 weeks.
The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting daily warehouse and production operations. This role ensures inventory accuracy by preparing daily reports, managing inventory transactions, conducting cycle counts, and serving as a resource for inventory-related questions. The Inventory Coordinator works closely with operations, production, and management to help ensure efficient workflow and accurate inventory control.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Close out batch tickets and shipping confirmations from the previous shift.
- Collect inventory data and prepare daily tank listings.
- Review inventory shortages and prepare reports for the daily operations meeting.
- Create batch tickets and repack tickets to support production activities.
- Respond to inventory-related questions and provide support to internal departments.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform spot checks on products as needed.
- Process transfers of railcar inventory into storage tanks while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Conduct routine physical inventories and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
- Prepare and distribute monthly inventory reports.
- Maintain accurate inventory documentation and records.
- Assist with identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse and inventory operations.
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualities Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous inventory, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred..
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, with the aptitude to quickly learn and understand additional applications.
- Ability to maintain an elevated level of organization and prioritization.
- Effective time management.
- Experience working with inventory management or ERP systems is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
