Calvary Industries is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Material Handler / Packaging Operator for our second-shift manufacturing team. This position combines warehouse material handling with hands-on packaging of finished chemical products.
The ideal candidate is comfortable operating a forklift, working around industrial equipment, and moving between different responsibilities as production needs change.
Key Responsibilities
- Supply production areas with raw materials, containers, pallets, labels, and other required items
- Use a forklift to move drums, totes, pallets, and raw materials throughout the facility
- Package finished products into pails, drums, totes, and other containers
- Operate pumps, filling equipment, scales, and related packaging equipment
- Apply labels and verify that products, containers, quantities, and paperwork are correct
- Secure, wrap, and stage completed pallets for shipment
- Complete production, inventory, and material-movement documentation accurately
- Maintain clean and organized production, packaging, and warehouse areas
- Follow all safety, quality, PPE, and chemical-handling procedures
- Communicate material shortages, equipment problems, quality concerns, or safety issues to supervision
- Assist production and warehouse personnel with other duties as needed
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, material-handling, or packaging experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred; training may be provided for the right candidate
- Ability to read product labels, work instructions, and production paperwork
- Basic math and computer or handheld-scanner skills
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow established procedures
- Dependable attendance and the ability to work with limited supervision
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly stand, walk, bend, reach, and move materials during the shift
Location: Fairfield, Ohio
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- 3:30pm - midnight
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
