Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of various facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures according to established standards to ensure hygiene and safety
- Conduct laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms as needed
- Dust and clean furniture, windowsills, vents, and other surfaces to maintain a dust-free environment
- Handle heavy lifting tasks safely during the moving or repositioning of furniture or equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas when required, including sweeping walkways or outdoor furniture
- Communicate effectively with clients or team members regarding specific cleaning needs or issues
- Manage time efficiently to complete daily cleaning schedules within designated timeframes
- Use janitorial equipment properly for carpet cleaning, floor care, or surface sanitation tasks
- Follow health and safety guidelines related to manual handling and the use of cleaning chemicals
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or hotel housekeeping is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures including floor care, carpet cleaning, dusting, and surface sanitation
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and proper handling of cleaning equipment
- Ability to perform and handle manual tasks with efficiency
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills
- Good communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Outdoor work experience is a plus for maintaining exterior spaces when required
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
