CHEMED Health’s Urgent Care department is seeking a per diem, experienced and compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is confident treating both adults and pediatric patients (ages 6 months and up).
Our Urgent Care provides high-quality, patient-centered care for urgent but non-emergent conditions in a well-supported primary care setting. Candidates with urgent care or emergency room experience will thrive in this role.
Must be flexible and able to cover evening and weekend shifts.
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license
- CDS and DEA registration
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification
- Experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine
- Passion for patient care and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical exams appropriate to age and condition
- Identify and document significant health risks and clinical findings
- Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory tests and diagnostic studies
- Develop accurate diagnoses by analyzing clinical data
- Create and implement treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and patients
- Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with New Jersey regulations and CHEMED policy
