CHEMED healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Questions Desk Nurse (RN or LPN) to join our team. The perfect candidate will have Pediatric experience. As a Call Center Nurse at CHEMED, you will play a crucial role in providing healthcare support to our patients. You will be responsible for handling inbound calls, assessing patient needs, and delivering accurate and timely medical advice. Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' symptoms and medical histories over the phone to determine the appropriate course of action.
Medical Advice: Provide clear and accurate medical advice to patients based on established protocols and guidelines.
Triage: Prioritize and escalate calls as necessary, ensuring that urgent cases receive immediate attention.
Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate electronic health records, documenting patient interactions, assessments, and recommendations.
Education: Educate patients on self-care measures, medication management, and follow-up care instructions.
Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Quality Assurance: Adhere to quality assurance standards and participate in ongoing training and professional development programs.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism in all interactions with patients.
Qualifications:
LPN License: Active and unrestricted LPN license in New Jersey
Clinical Experience: Clinical nursing experience, preferably in Primary Care or Pediatrics.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information in a clear and understandable manner.
Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using electronic health record systems and other healthcare technology tools.
Compassion: Demonstrated empathy and compassion in patient interactions.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare.
