● Work directly with ChemDAQ’s Executive Vice President to identify new business partners in key markets around the world
● Develop new partner validation criteria and evaluate potential candidate companies to inform recommendations on partner engagement
● Research new markets, including identifying key market drivers, regulatory issues, competitor analysis, price analysis, and total market opportunity assessments
● In collaboration with ChemDAQ’s General Counsel, create term sheets and partnership agreements to govern new business relationships; negotiate terms, where appropriate, to ensure fair and equitable deals to drive lasting, mutually beneficial business partnerships
● Effectively manage, collaborate with, and support existing network of eight (8) global partners, including representation in the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, and Southeast Asia
● Establish and maintain partner accountability with KPIs, sales forecasts, and sales/marketing activities; Facilitate monthly partnership meetings with each distributor to review performance
● Communicate annual price lists, sales expectations, and year-end reviews/assessments with existing partners
● Inform ChemDAQ’s strategic planning efforts based on existing and new partner expectations
● Develop, deliver, and reinforce ChemDAQ product education and training tailored to our global distributors
● Responsible for initiating and supporting joint marketing campaigns with partners
● Keep informed of global workplace safety and occupational exposure regulations and standards related to the chemicals monitored by ChemDAQ – Ethylene Oxide, Hydrogen Peroxide, and Peracetic Acid
● Serve as a subject matter expert on chemical safety and continuous monitoring for occupational exposure to toxic chemicals; Attend trade shows, vendor days, and partner/customer site visits as well as participate in trade, regulatory, and industry groups, as appropriate
● Track and report on partner sales performance through ChemDAQ’s CRM system
● Facilitate cross-collaboration with relevant ChemDAQ departments, including Customer Account Management, Technical Services, Quality, Production, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing in support of our distribution partners
● Receive, confirm, and process purchase orders from distribution partners, as needed
● Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management
● Must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally; expected 2-3 international trips per year initially
● Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project management and/or business development leadership roles, preferably in an international role
● Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; Advanced Degree (MBA, Management, etc.) preferred
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential
● Familiarity with CRM systems; Salesforce preferred
● Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
● Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with international partners with respect and professionalism
● Natural creativity and professional curiosity that will drive innovative business relationships
● Foreign language skills preferred
● Authorized to work in the United States required
Job Type: Full-time on site
Salary: $120K - $140K base Bonus
