The Quality Manager is a key leadership role responsible for championing a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout our 110,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. The Quality Manager will oversee, enhance, and manage all aspects of our Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure our precision-engineered equipment consistently meets and exceeds the rigorous standards expected by our world-class customers. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Management System (QMS):
· Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's QMS to ensure compliance with all internal and external requirements across our diverse product lines.
· Lead the facility's quality management evolution, working collaboratively with our technical partners to enhance and maintain industry certifications.
· Establish, review, and maintain clear quality procedures, work instructions, and specifications for all wet processing equipment manufacturing processes.
· Support quality initiatives aligned with our continuous improvement culture, incorporating Deming and Kaizen principles that have driven our operational excellence.
Operational Quality Control:
· Oversee comprehensive inspection and testing activities for complex manufacturing processes including machining, assembly, chemical processing systems, and control system integration.
· Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address non-conformances in precision equipment manufacturing.
· Analyze quality data and key performance indicators (KPIs) using statistical process control (SPC) methodologies to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
· Ensure all measurement and test equipment is properly calibrated and maintained, with particular attention to precision instrumentation used in wet processing equipment manufacturing.
· Support our industry-leading testing capabilities through our in-house R&D lab to validate equipment performance before customer delivery.
Leadership & Technical Collaboration:
· Champion a "quality-first" culture throughout the organization, aligning with our mission of delivering high-quality, reliable manufacturing solutions.
· Collaborate closely with engineering teams on custom equipment designs, ensuring quality is built into each unique solution from concept through delivery.
· Work with production teams to maintain quality standards across diverse product lines, from PCB etching equipment to photovoltaic processing systems.
· Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality requirements, audits, and technical feedback, supporting our reputation for world-renowned customer service.
· Manage supplier quality for specialized components used in wet processing equipment, including chemical handling systems, pumps, controls, and precision mechanical components.
· Support our environmental excellence initiatives, building on our track record of receiving Pennsylvania's Governor's Environmental Excellence award.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Manages the Quality department staff as needed.
· Ensures that the team has the necessary resources and training.
· Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.
· Responsible for installing and verifying effectiveness of corrective actions.
· Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
· Assists in discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Required:
· 5 years of experience in a quality assurance role within a precision manufacturing environment, preferably with complex mechanical/electrical systems.
· 2 years of experience in a leadership or management capacity.
· Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and CAPA methodologies.
· Experience with precision manufacturing processes, assembly operations, and testing of industrial equipment.
· Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, electrical schematics, and engineering specifications.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous, data-driven approach to quality management.
· Proven leadership abilities with strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively across engineering, production, and customer-facing teams.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software applications.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have):
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
· Experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
· Experience in industrial equipment manufacturing, chemical processing equipment, or similar precision manufacturing environments.
· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma principles (aligning with our continuous improvement culture).
· Experience with environmental, health, and safety standards in manufacturing environments.
· Familiarity with customer audit processes and technical documentation requirements for industrial equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
· Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine needs.
May require travel up to 5-10%.
