Position Summary: Under direct supervision, the Production Technician Level 1 is responsible for the preparation and application of components used to produce Chembio diagnostic products.

Position Summary: Under direct supervision, the Production Technician Level 1 is responsible for the preparation and application of components used to produce Chembio diagnostic products.
Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the application of all buffers, test lines, control lines, and other components used in Chembio diagnostic products.
- Performs daily scale calibrations as indicated.
- Maintains and updates all department log documentation as described by the QA department, including equipment and calibration logs.
- Maintains neat and accurate batch records as either an operator or a witness during all procedures.
- Uses equipment effectively, skillfully and efficiently. Maintains equipment and work area as directed.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintains a clean working environment and restocks the production area as needed.
- Complies with regulatory standards. Adheres to all OSHA compliance laws and conforms to the requirements of the USDA and FDA.
- Conforms to the requirements of cGMP’s.
- Reports deviations to established processes.

- Buffer Filling
- Sample Pad treatment
- Conjugate Pad Blocking
- Membrane Blocking
- Conjugate Spray
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Biology or a related field preferred
- Attention to detail and proficient record keeping
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Excellent communication skills
- Computer Skills- Microsoft Office, WORD, Excel a plus
- cGMP experience a plus
