Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic specializing in Tractor/Trailers to join our team in Brownsville, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on 18 wheeler trucks.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Repair or replace defective parts including engines, brakes, transmissions, and other components.
• Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
• Follow all company policies and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanic for 18 wheeler trucks or heavy-duty vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, brake systems, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.
