What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Assistant position at CHEManager International?
The Xu lab in the Dept of Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior is looking for a part-time temporary research technician to provide laboratory support for an on-going project evaluating the effects of neonicotinoids on off-target insect species.
Daily work will include micropipetting (50%), making solutions(5%), using a microbalance to weigh insects and plant matter (35%), taking careful notes(5%), as well as performing insect husbandry when required(5%). Must be available over breaks and willing to work weekends. Shifts will typically last 3-4 hours.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 6 months working in a lab setting
- Excellent micropipetting skills
- Must be comfortable handling small amounts of pesticides
- Must be comfortable handling insects
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with insects
- 1 year working in a lab setting
About The Department

Pay And Benefits
Pay Range:
$15.25/hour to $18.00/hour ; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
