This position collaborates with sales, purchasing, production, and warehouse personnel to ensure appropriate scheduling, procurement and movement of material to meet customer demands. Utilize relevant planning tools, maintain system planning parameters and master data in relevant systems. Provide reports and analysis to support decision making as well as attainment of organizational goals for service and inventory level KPI’s.

Production Planner

Responsibilities

• Coordinating production workflow for multiple products. Assist in raw material and base transfers, between warehouses.
• Align with Production and Purchasing to determine manpower, equipment, and raw materials to cover production demand.
• Identify exceptions to the production plan (labor, equipment, and raw material shortages) in advance and coordinate with all other functions to manage these exceptions.
• Aid in the minimization of old or obsolete inventory for both finished goods and raw materials by reviewing sales and usage to identify items that are no longer being used/ sold/ sampled.
• Analyze incoming customer orders to make certain production plan is up to date.
• Develop, in combination with the Supply Chain Manager and Demand Planner, a method for populating future demand within ERP or APS, for full visibility within our supply chain.
• Make demand adjustments in the planning software to align with changes in customer demand.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and a minimum 3-5 years business experience with a knowledge of Inventory Control and Manufacturing practices.
• A college-level course requiring general computer and Microsoft experience.
• MRP knowledge is a must.
• Lean-Sigma experience preferred but not mandatory.
