Chemist II
Responsibilities
- Develop new and improved products to meet customer demands in a rapid manner.
- Interact with suppliers to identify and qualify raw materials.
- Provide technical support to all company departments including Sales, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Quality Control.
- Support Technical Sales by attending product trials at customer sites.
- Create detailed technical reports by organizing and summarizing work.
- Characterize, handle, label, inspect, and dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Serve as a mentor to less experienced technical staff
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of industrial experience, including product development and formulation.
- Knowledge in polymers, lubricants, coatings, emulsions, and surface chemistry.
- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes.
- Wood & Paper industry knowledge a plus.
