Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in pipefitting and welding, with a strong understanding of various techniques and codes. This role involves working on construction sites, manufacturing facilities, and maintenance projects, ensuring that all piping systems are installed and maintained to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems according to specifications and blueprints.
- Perform MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, and soldering as required for various projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other equipment for precise measurements and installations.
- Conduct pipe threading and tube bending operations to meet project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards during all installation processes.
- Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot issues related to plumbing systems, HVAC installations, and fire sprinkler fittings as necessary.
- Participate in rigging operations for heavy materials when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pipefitting with a strong background in construction or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, soldering, and other relevant techniques.
- Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Familiarity with basic math concepts for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical documents related to piping systems.
- Knowledge of pipeline installation processes along with fire sprinkler fitting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
