Job Description:
We are establishing a new Integrated Circuit (IC) production test facility in Crane, Indiana, and are seeking an experienced and driven Production Test Manager/Leader to oversee operations. This individual will play a pivotal role in building and leading a high-performing team, managing test infrastructure, and ensuring efficient, high-quality test processes for production ICs. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise in semiconductor test methodologies and strong leadership capabilities to set up and manage the facility from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
• Facility Setup & Strategy
- Lead the establishment of a new IC production test facility in Crane, including infrastructure planning, equipment installation, and process development.
- Define the overall test strategy to support production throughput, yield optimization, and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and defense-related regulations.
• Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and manage a multidisciplinary team of test engineers, technicians, and support staff.
- Provide technical mentorship and career development opportunities.
- Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Production Test Operations
- Oversee daily production test activities, ensuring efficient execution of test programs and adherence to schedules.
- Manage test hardware and software development for digital, analog, and mixed-signal ICs.
- Coordinate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve test-related issues.
- Monitor test yields, analyze failures, and implement corrective actions.
• Process & Quality Management
- Drive the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all test activities.
- Implement data-driven continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure the facility meets ISO, ITAR, and other applicable quality and security standards.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the primary liaison between the test facility and other business units, partners, and government stakeholders.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) with robust test plans and production readiness.
Qualifications:
• 10 years of experience in semiconductor/IC test engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead technical teams.
• Experience working with defense or aerospace customers is a plus.
• Knowledge of IC packaging, wafer probe, and final test processes.
• Proficiency with test program development, data analysis, and yield improvement.
• Proven experience setting up or managing IC production test operations is highly desirable.
• Strong background in automated test equipment (ATE) platforms and mixed-signal test methodologies.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
