What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Social Worker (Part-Time) position at Chelsea School?
Chelsea School is seeking a part-time, licensed school social worker to provide direct counseling services to our students in accordance with their IEPs. Chelsea School serves students with language-based learning disabilities in a college preparatory environment.
- Provide individual and group therapy; family and community advocacy and crisis intervention as needed to help students effectively cope with personal, social, academic, career and family issues.
- Consult and work with parents, teachers, staff, administrators, and supporting agencies concerning the needs and abilities of students in case load.
- Identify students with social emotional needs and make appropriate recommendations and referrals.
- Assess, develop and implement social/emotional goals and objectives for the IEP; Behavior Intervention Plans/Functional Behavioral Assessments
- Provide and Maintain - Quarterly IEP Progress Reports, Online Daily Progress Notes, Therapy Logs and other documentation
- Support the philosophy and vision of Chelsea School
