Role & Responsibilities:
The responsibilities and duties described here are representative of those a Group Fitness instructor must perform. This is not a comprehensive list and other duties may be assigned.
General Responsibilities:
- Serve as an Instructor and provide members an amazing Group Fitness experience.
- Engage in marketing and social media outreach and participate in events to gain a loyal following of Chelsea Piers Fitness members.
- Act as a Brand Ambassador for Chelsea Piers Fitness.
- Provide excellent customer service, externally and internally.
- Participate in special and member events as scheduled, virtually and in-person.
- Maintain operations protocols in classes.
- Complete all administrative requirements associated with class preparation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of teaching public classes.
- CPR & AED Training.
- At least 2 years of teaching group fitness classes preferred.
- High-energy, personable and passion for fitness with a team-first mentality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Teams.
- Strong communication skills.
- Reliability.
Work Schedule:
- Must have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule including weekend, holiday and early morning/midday/late evening weekday availability.
