The Opportunity
Chelsea Piers Fitness is seeking experienced Pilates Instructors for Pilates Mat and Apparatus (Reformer) classes and private lessons. At Chelsea Piers Fitness, our Pilates program is built on precision, strength, and control. As a Pilates Instructor, you’ll help members improve posture, mobility, and core stability in a studio equipped with premium apparatus and resources. You’ll be part of a supportive fitness family that values professionalism, continuous learning, and lasting member relationships.
Schedule: Part-Time, m ust have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule including weekend, holiday and early morning/midday/late evening weekday availability.
Compensation: $50 - $75 per hour, depending on experience

Primary Responsibilities
- Teach safe and effective mat and/or reformer Pilates sessions that align with Chelsea Piers Fitness standards
- Emphasize breath, control, alignment, and core engagement throughout each class
- Provide modifications and progressions for all skill levels
- Build and retain a loyal client base through education and exceptional service
- Support special events and cross-promotional programs within the club
- 30-hour Mat Training Certificates (Mat 1 & Mat 2)
- Minimum 3 months experience teaching public mat classes
- Reformer instructors must have a minimum of 450-hour Reformer Training Certificate and minimum of 50 hours teaching on the equipment
- CPR & AED Certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable with ability to attend all scheduled hours.
- Must be able to lift 30 to 45 pounds or appropriate weight to lead class
