The Opportunity
Bring the energy and lead the ride. As a Cycling Instructor at Chelsea Piers Fitness, you’ll motivate members through rhythm-based or performance-focused rides that leave them inspired and energized. Our Breakaway cycling community thrives on connection, music, and momentum, and you’ll play a key role in creating that experience every time you step on the podium.
Schedule: Part-Time, must have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule including weekend, holiday and early morning/midday/late evening weekday availability.
Compensation: $50 - $75 per hour, depending on experience

Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver high-energy, rhythm-based or performance-driven cycling classes that motivate and challenge members.
- Curate playlists and ride profiles that match the Chelsea Piers Fitness brand experience.
- Engage members through clear coaching, motivation, and energy.
- Promote safety through proper bike setup, form corrections, and pacing guidance.
- Contribute to member events, special rides, and community outreach.
- Minimum of 1 year teaching public classes
- Ability to adapt rides to all levels
- CPR & AED Certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable with ability to attend all scheduled hours.
- Must be able to lift 30 to 45 pounds or appropriate weight to lead class
