What You'll Do:
- Assist with planning and leading meaningful activities that support cognitive, emotional, and social well-being for residents with dementia.
- Engage residents through group and one-on-one activities such as music, art, sensory experiences, and gentle movement.
- Encourage participation while respecting individual abilities, preferences, and dignity
- Observe resident responses during activities and communicate changes or concerns to the care team.
- Help set up, adapt, and clean up activities to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Collaborate with the Activity Director and care staff to enhance the quality of life for memory care residents.
What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent. (required)
- Must be 21 years of age or older. (required)
- Proficient in reading, writing, and comprehending English. (required)
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with residents, families, visitors, and team members. (required)
- Energetic, self-motivated team player comfortable working in a memory care setting, able to manage dementia-related behaviors, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. (required)
- Experience working with seniors. (preferred)
