CREDIT ANALYST II (onsite)

Groton, CT 

OVERVIEW:

Performs credit analyses and a variety of administrative duties to support the credit administration function in conformance with established Bank policies and procedures. 

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers.

1. Conducts credit analyses; spreads financial statements and conducts company and industry analyses. Prepares analyses for use in workout credits and as part of on-going loan review process.
2. Responsible for spreading financial statements and maintains financial statement tickler files.
3. Responds to commercial lending inquiries from customers and Loan Officers; researches customer credit information and develops credit profile. Attends in person meetings with Loan Officers and Customers.
4. Responsible for uploading and verifying scanned credit file documents.
5. Reviews commercial portfolio risk ratings. 
6. Compiles commercial lending reports for the Credit Quality Committee. 
7. Oversees the underwriting for the Bankers Healthcare Group (BHG) loans as well as the Quick Decision loans. 
8. Promotes the Bank’s products and services and maintains an active participation in community affairs.
9. Responsible for adhering to bank policies and procedures related to regulatory compliance requirements applicable to the job function.
10. Performs related and unrelated duties as may be required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in specialized course work and training. Three years of credit related experience. Must be detail oriented and demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills. Proficient in spreadsheet software.

None

INDEPENDENT ACTION:

Establishes own work plan and performs work independently within scope of established guidelines and practices. Generally, refers specific problems to manager where clarification of policies and procedures is needed.

COMPLIANCE:

Responsible for adhering to bank policies and procedures relating to regulatory compliance requirements applicable to the job function including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering and Fair Lending.
